just got this in the mail today, a lot sooner than i expected, so i am happy with the free ship.

the product description did not mention the size of the toy, so i took a chance and hoped that it would not be a tiny beanie baby toy.

lucky me, this stuffed animal is about 10″ in height, and about 5″ across the belly.

this little monkey is super-cute, and super-soft. it’s “beanie-filled” on its feet and bottom.

since my little one loves to watch curious george, and fittingly, “mon-kee” is his first word, this toy is perfect!

Grandma purchased this monkey for my daughter on her 1st birthday. It was an instant favorite and she doesn’t travel anywhere without it. I love when she has put it down somehwere and can’t remember where it is. She’ll walk around the house saying “Monkey…where aaaaare yoooouuu???” My daughter likes sucking on the tail so he does get rather nasty and smelly but luckily he washes really well and stays relatively soft. As monkey goes everywhere with us, I thought another one was a necessity. I accidentally got the large version of Dangles and when I pulled him out of the box and handed it to her, she stared at it, picked up the REAL monkey and walked off. (Did mommy think she could pull one over on me?? I think not!) So, since large monkey won’t do, I’m buying the REAL monkey…just in case. I gave Dangles 5 stars cause I know how much she loves him and how happy and secure he makes her feel. Definitely worth 5 stars in my book!

Dangles is so soft, squishy and cuddly! We got this for our son when he was just a few months old. It quickly became his favorite snuggle toy. He is 1 year old now and MUST have his monkey to snuggle with in order to go to sleep. Unfortunately he likes to suck on his tail and it can get quite yucky. Fortunatley Dangles washes very well! I put him in the washer in the handwash cycle and then tumble him dry for about 90 minutes on fluff/no heat in the dryer and he is ready to go in time for the next nap! Although he is not as perfectly soft and fluffy as he was when we got him, what do you expect from a toy that can be washed in the washing machine and is constantly dragged around! I rated Dangles as 3 stars for educational value. You might not think a stuffed toy can be educational, but we think he is! When we ask our son where the monkey’s eyes, mouth, nose and ears are, he points right to them. He gets his hands and feet mixed up, but he’ll figure it out soon! We purchased an extra Dangles for Nana’s house to avoid the crisis of forgetting to bring him along.

After comparing my granddaughter’s Ty monkey to the one on the website, I thought it was the same. Well, she hates it! It is not the same, totally different fabric, like a slick polyester, not the soft cotton out side, and the inside is different and the eyes are buttons, not sewn on!!!! Darn,This monkey pictured is the same in all the Amazon sites for this!!But it’s not the same !! I’m bummed, Joni

I love this monkey. He’s so cute and just the right amount of squishy. I can’t say how durable it is, as it isn’t played with by a child, but it appears to be sturdy. Besides, it’s a Gund, and they have a great reputation. However, I don’t feel I can give it five stars without it actually having been kid-tested.

As far as being asked to rate its “educational value,” I rate it high precisely because it doesn’t have any electronic or even noise-making components. Children learn a lot more from being able to use their imaginations and make up a different story every time they play with something than by being directed how to play with it, much less sit back and watch something move and/or talk and call it playing.

I bought this stuffed monkey toy in order to increase my purchase to $25 to qualify for free shipping so not much thought went into it. I think I ordered it on Feb 14, and it arrived Feb 18.

He is a cute little guy, soft material and soft to squeeze. Looks good quality. There doesn’t seem to be anything that would make him unsuitabe for a newborn to chew on. Unlike many toys he has no blue or pink colouring that makes him unsuitable for an unborn child gift. I can’t say anything about durability as I have just put him aside for when my baby arrives.

I definitely recommend him as he is as cute and soft as you want a stuffed toy to be.

It’s exactly what the photo shows. A nice soft silky monkey with banana stitched to its hand. Floppy and huggable, good size for a small kid. It’s quality made and has a simple charm.

My son has had this monkey for about 3 years now. I bought it for him when he was about 18 months old because he loved Curious George and this monkey looks like that character. He sleeps with him every night and we have taken him on every vacation we have gone on, including Disney World. Despite constant use, he is in great condition (except for the banana, which we lost a while ago). I am back to buy a second one because my now 4 year old son refuses to go to sleep without him and I can’t find him anywhere so I’d like a back up in case we actually ever lose him.

My son role plays with this monkey and has made him a part of our lives. It is a very soft and cuddly stuffed animal.

What a shock to learn Ganz (Webkinz manufacturer) makes their customer service department impossible to contact!!

We purchased this Webkinz for our daughter and the special code stamped on the toy’s tag was defective. This code is a vital part of the toy — it is required to access the website and create a virtual life for the pet. Each code is supposed to have 8 letters/numbers — our tag only has 6.

Now the webkinz website registration stopped us immediately when trying to register with just the 6-digit code. We looked in their help section and customer support to contact someone to help. We looked, and read, and looked, and read. Nowhere on the site do they list any phone number or email address to contact the company for help! In fact, a Google search shows that the company stopped accepting email support requests in October of 2008.

Ganz will only take customer support requests from a form on their website. BUT the form requires a valid 8-digit code from the toy. Since they sold us a defective toy, they will not accept our request for help. What a way to treat your customers!

We’re stuck with a defective, expensive toy and *prohibited* from contacting the company for support. Thanks Ganz for taking our money and removing the traditional methods to contact you for help!

Ordered this Valentine Monkey for my grand-daughter who is really into Webkinz and it did not come with the tag. She is really sad because the point is to put them on the web to play. Am trying to contact seller to see if I can get a code sent to her.

This monkey is fuzzy and cute. My baby girl had a slightly different and earlier version that she happened to throw in the trash. It just happened to be the night of a vermouth and scallop dinner. It smelled nasty and I washed it the best I could. I then ordered this little one and when it came in the mail and I tried to replace the old one it was rejected. She was too attached to the stinky one. I tried to explain “monkey took a bath” but she wasn’t falling for it. The nasty smell eventually went away. But this guy is still fuzzy and cute. May try to pass off on her little brother who still doesn’t have a preferred furry friend.
